There has been much road work on the Autobahn A30 between Osnabrück and Hanover to renew the lanes and renovate bridges. The Werrebrücke is situated near the village of Löhne, crossing the river of the same name. This required reinforcement with heavy steel beams. The Wagenborg Nedlift specialists came up with an inventive solution for the installation of the beams.
The Lessing Tunnel in Hamburg is a 110-metre-long railway underpass located north of the Hamburg-Altona railway station. SUPERLOCAL is an innovative real estate project in Kerkrade-Oost, which is located in the southern part of the Netherlands. Three high-rise buildings are transformed to approx. 125 new and modern houses in a sustainable way. In October 2018, Wagenborg Nedlift carried out an impressive operation in Bocholt (Germany): transport, positioning and foundation setting of the 47-metre-long Podiumbrücke (Podium Bridge). Wagenborg Nedlift combined many different disciplines and skills to successfully and safely install this bridge from the past to the future.
Kirkenes is ideally suited for observing the Northern Lights. Regardless of this draw, the Norwegian landmark feels like a final destination; end of the line for both roads and ferries. Yet Kirkenes, situated at a mere 10 kilometres from Russia, is known as the ‘gateway to the east’. Renovating the existing E105 targets the facilitation of trade and cooperation between neighbouring countries. Part of this upgrade is the construction of the Bøkfjord bridge; the 120 metre arched steel bridge spanning the Norwegian fjords, connecting Norway and Russia. A complex logistical challenge for Wagenborg to overcome.
The Green Connection is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting the south of Rotterdam with the green space outside the city. The bridge is nearly 200 metres long, weighs over 600 tonnes and spans the Betuwe railway line and the A15 motorway. The transport and lifting operation of the uniquely-designed bridge presented a special challenge.
