The first of Wagenborg Nedlift’s two new Liebherr MK 73-3.1 tower cranes was delivered last Friday! This compact crane with a large reach is a beautiful addition to the fleet of Wagenborg Nedlift
It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to meet the targets of the UN climate agreement that was ratified in Paris in 2016. We all have to do our part for the Paris Agreement. And Wagenborg is no exception. That’s why Wagenborg is working hard on the sustainability strategy that has been created, which contains concrete targets. As part of this endeavour, Wagenborg Nedlift has launched the ‘Road to Success’ pilot in collaboration with Route42.
Royal Wagenborg and Liebherr Nederland B.V. are joining forces to considerably rejuvenate and to augment the sustainability of Wagenborg Nedlift’s crane fleet in the coming years. This way, the existing collaboration between the two family businesses will be strengthened further. “This partnership proves our long-term focus on the challenge of reducing our footprint together with our suppliers,” says Gerard Bastiaansen, Managing Director of Wagenborg Nedlift. ‘With this co-operation, we not only opt for equipment that best meets our customer requirements; at the same time, we also reduce significant amounts of nitrogen and CO2.”
Wagenborg Nedlift recently put into operation a new computer-controlled jacking system, consisting of four climbing jack boxes, each with a 600-tonne capacity. With the new jacking system, objects of up to 2400 tonnes can be lifted and lowered.
Traditionally, tropical hardwood (Azobé) is used for jacking operations. However, Azobé wood is a scarce natural product and so, it is not a sustainable solution. That is why Wagenborg Nedlift started looking for a better alternative.
Last week the time had come: the third knuckle boom crane for Wagenborg Nedlift was delivered at the Hengelo location. Regional Manager Jeanet de Jong handed over the keys to drivers Willy Olde Dubbelink and Gerald Heskamp at a safe distance.
Last Friday: a festive moment for Wagenborg Nedlift and Palfinger Nederland. The keys of the first two brand new knuckleboom cranes have been handed over. Number three will follow later on. It is all about the Palfinger PK 92002-SH.
We would like to introduce our state-of-the-art 100% electric compact crane: the Hoeflon C30e! An extremely versatile and compact 'pick and carry' crane offering a wide range of solutions. Ideal for lifting in tight locations or indoors.
The Netherlands is number one when it comes to nitrogen emissions in Europe. It is obvious that serious action is required to secure a 'sustainable future'. In part, the ball is in the court of the business communities, by coming up with innovative solutions to limit the level of emissions. Sustainability is also an important theme for Wagenborg. Wagenborg Nedlift would like to contribute ideas for our society and our customers. Therefore, it offers various (tower) cranes that use electricity as a power source. 'Building' a sustainable future with Wagenborg Nedlift!
